This study aims to explore how training effectiveness impacts the performance of healthcare workers in Indonesia, specifically by examining the mediating role of soft skill competency and employee capacity. The research is based on the Human Capital Theory, which highlights the importance of investing in healthcare workers’ intellectual assets. The study analyzed data from 222 healthcare professionals in South Sulawesi and used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS software to draw conclusions. The findings highlight how soft skill competency and employee capacity play crucial roles as mediators between training effectiveness and health workers’ performance. These insights are highly relevant and valuable for HR planning and policy in healthcare, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
