Exposat is India’s first X-ray polarimeter satellite. It is the second in the world. Previously, only the US space agency NASA has sent such a satellite into space.

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has launched a a satellite to find black holes in the earth’s atmosphere. It is India’s first X-ray polarimeter satellite and the second in the world. This type of satellite has only been sent into space by NASA.

The satellite will detect and monitor black holes in space. In addition, 50 of the brightest energy sources are on the list of observatories’ Exposat ‘. Scientists will also study the neutron stars of space through this artificial satellite.

The first day of the year has been chosen by the Indian Space Research Organizationto launch the setellite. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) lifted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Research Centre in Sriharikota at 9.10 am on Monday. This is the 60th flight of PSLV.

ISRO announced the achievement in a tweet. The spacecraft is currently orbiting at a distance of 650 km from Earth.

The satellite has a lifespan of five years in space. Its maximum height from the ground will be 500 to 700 km. Exposat has two payloads – Polix (Polarimeter Instrument in X-ray) and Xspect (X-ray Spectroscopy and Timing). The payload was developed jointly by Raman Research Institute and UR Rao Satellite Centre.

Exposat will search for the source of X-rays in space. With this, ISRO is going to get a new direction in the study of black holes. The satellite will collect information on the presence, detection and origin of black holes.

When a star dies, neutron stars and black holes form. A black hole has the highest gravitational force in the universe.

A neutron star is a star made up of many neutron particles. These stars are very small. The radius of a neutron star is not more than 30 km. Exposat will also observe these stars. ISRO has spent Rs 250 crore on this mission.
