Tea tree oil

Moringa oleifera Lam., also known as Sahjna, is a plant that belongs to the Moringaceae family, which has fourteen species. In folklore and traditional medicine, M. oleifera is highly regarded for its ability to treat various ailments. Different parts of the plant are known for their stimulant, diuretic, and antilithic properties. In a preliminary in vitro screening for antimicrobial activity, M. oleifera demonstrated high antibacterial activity even when used at low concentrations (Mounyr Balouiri et al., 2016). Although some phytochemical aspects of this plant have been recorded, the author has considered isolating the bioactive molecules due to their antimicrobial importance. Therefore, the plant extracts were subjected to column chromatography, using a gradient elution method, to separate the pure compounds.
